What’s simple to wear is also affordable and ideal for more occasions than one, so instead of spending too much money on a big brand’s piece I would only wear once or twice, I get to purchase a pair of sneakers, combine them with jeans, or T-shirt dress and I’m ready to go out meet friends over a cup of coffee, go for a walk with my dog, even go on dates.
Due to the interest of women like myself in the style, brands have shifted their male-solely designs into streetwear ladies could use too without having to borrow from their men, friends, or shy over for going to the male section to buy themselves the male shirts they want to wear.
Along with male streetwear brands turning over to women pieces to fill up the niche, like Fred Perry and their cool pieces in the example of tartan tennis skirts, there are women too who have decided to take matters into their own hands and pave the path into the men’s world with style and just as much sass.
Many celebrities, like the It girls Hailey Baldwin (or should I say Bieber), sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and Gigi Hadid to name some, have had their role in making women’s path into the men’s club of athleisure easier so we also have them to thank for the spreading of women streetwear.
